What to Expect—Yearly Wellness Assessment

At the center of your pet's preventive wellness is their Yearly Wellness Assessment. When your pet has an appointment for their vaccine boosters and/or well-testing, our team will evaluate your pet’s overall health status including, but not limited to:

  • Teeth
  • Mouth
  • Ears
  • Eyes
  • Skin
  • Weight

If a concern is detected, we will recommend a diagnostic exam with Dr. J to diagnose the area of concern so we can find an affordable treatment before it becomes a major health issue.

Yearly Vaccine and Well Testing

The vaccines and well testing your pet needs depend upon their lifestyle exposures and age. To keep your costs as low as possible, and to reduce the risk of autoimmune disease caused by over-vaccination, we will only recommend those vaccines your pet needs based upon their lifestyle. Some vaccines are annual, while several are only every 3 years.

Periodic Dental Cleaning Prophylaxis

Dental health during adulthood is key to your loving pet's quality and length of life. Periodontal disease, or bone infection around the tooth roots, is the most common disease that affects adult pets.

We will check your pet's dental health at each assessment and let you know when she or he needs a dental cleaning prophylaxis. Ideally, this is performed on a preventive basis—before complications of periodontal disease declare themselves. Rest assured that we will help you enjoy your pet’s great—and healthy—smile for a lifetime!

We look forward to providing a lifetime of care to you and your pet. Contact us today to schedule an appointment for your dog or cat.
